Weekly sessions for 2 - 5 year olds

looking for minibeasts

Nature is central to the Tiny Outdoor Explorers weekly sessions, which use Forest School and Environmental Education philosophies and techniques.

The sessions themselves have a flow, starting with a welcome circle in the woodland shelter. Each week there is a seasonally themed trail in the woodland garden, which you follow at your own pace, and as your child wishes. Free play opportunities, including mud play and exploring for minibeasts are encouraged every week. We have a fire to keep us warm on the colder days and enjoy campfire cooking, using seasonal ingredients, on a few sessions each half term. We finish with a nature craft or growing activity in the woodland shelter, and reflection on our days discoveries.

All sessions are designed and delivered by Lisa
